During this afternoon visit, the lounge felt modern, calm and well maintained, with fast Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, useful work areas and a strong drinks setup including BrewDog on tap. The main drawbacks were the limited views, no Champagne and a food selection that was solid rather than standout.

The lounge is located airside in Geneva Airport Terminal 1. After clearing security, head towards the A gates and follow signs for the airline lounges. The lounge is located near the other airline lounges in the main terminal area.

First Impressions and Ambiance at the British Airways Geneva Lounge
For an outstation lounge, British Airways has done a very good job in Geneva. The lounge was redesigned in 2019 with a similar design to the JFK and Johannesburg lounges. The space feels modern, sleek and well maintained, with strong British Airways branding throughout, particularly the blue colour tones.
The lounge measures around 3500 square feet, so it is not huge, but not too small either. There is enough natural light coming from the floor-to-ceiling windows, although the view was disappointing as it looked straight onto another building. Overall it felt calm, and it was not too busy during my visit, which made the experience far more enjoyable than many peak time hub lounges.

Seating, Work Areas and Wi-Fi
Seating is well planned for the size of the lounge. There is a mix of shared workstations with high stools, café style tables, booths and armchairs. It suits both working and relaxing, and there are enough different zones that you can usually find a setup that matches what you need.
Wi-Fi was very speedy, and I had no issues getting work done, which is a major plus if you are travelling for business or need to catch up on emails before boarding.
Food and Drinks at the British Airways Geneva Lounge
Food and drinks are entirely self-serve.
The lunch offering included a macaroni cheese dish, a beef stroganoff, sandwiches, soup, salads, chicken curry and some cakes. The selection was not vast, but the macaroni cheese was tasty and there was certainly enough to fill up on before a flight.
The bar area is a highlight. It is genuinely impressive for a lounge of this size, with proper bar stools so you can sit up at the counter rather than just grabbing a drink and walking away. The selection included a range of spirits, soft drinks and a few wines, plus all the essentials like ice and lemon.
A very cool feature is the BrewDog section on tap, which adds some personality and feels a bit more memorable than the standard contract lounge setup.
The one downside is the lack of Champagne, which mirrors the issue seen in several British Airways lounges. There is plenty of choice overall, but Champagne would have lifted the experience and made it feel more premium.

Is The British Airways Geneva Lounge Worth Visiting?
The British Airways Geneva lounge is a strong outstation lounge and a great example of BA doing the basics properly outside its main hubs. The 2019 redesign has given it a clean, modern feel, the Wi-Fi is excellent, and the bar setup with BrewDog on tap is a genuinely fun touch.
While the lounge is not massive, the quieter atmosphere makes it an easy place to relax or get work done before your flight. For a non-hub location, British Airways has done a very good job here.
