Sala VIP Canudas Barcelona Date of Visit: October 2025 (last updated February 2026)
Time: Late Afternoon (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Sala VIP Canudas Barcelona is a contract lounge at BCN that can be accessed with Priority Pass or paid entry, subject to capacity. I visited in October 2025 and found a calm lounge with lots of seating, a strong cold tapas style buffet, and an excellent self serve drinks selection, but there is almost no natural light and hot food was very limited. This review covers where to find it, what is included, and whether it is worth using a lounge visit.

Check-In Experience Sala VIP Canudas Barcelona

Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were efficient and polite, and I was through the entrance within a minute or two.

Ambiance and Seating

Firstly, the lounge is very dark, as there are no windows nor natural light. The ambiance felt similar to the Sala VIP Azahar lounge at Seville airport, which we reviewed here. The lounge was not too busy during my evening visit, which made it feel calm and relaxed compared to the main terminal. There was plenty of space to find a seat and unwind before the flight. There were workstations, a conference room and lots of large comfy armchairs in the lounge.

Food and Drinks at Sala VIP Canudas Barcelona

The food selection was much better than many other Priority Pass lounges in Europe. The buffet offered a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, Spanish tapas-style cheeses, cold cuts such as Spanish salami and some delicious Iberian hams. There were also cold pizzas, salads and sweet cakes/pastries. The downside was the limited hot food, as the only hot option was hot dogs.

Drinks were a solid feature at the Sala VIP Canudas Lounge. Juices, soft drinks, and water were available alongside a respectable alcohol selection. Spanish red, white and sparkling wines were on offer, complemented by a self-serve spirits collection. Options included gin, Martini, a Johnnie Walker Red Label whiskey, Bailey’s and vodka, all of which were self-serve.

There was also a decent beer offering including Estrella, Carlsberg, Grimbergen Blonde, Dammm gluten free lager, Complot IPA and a ‘Freedamm’ non-alcoholic lager. A couple of coffee machines were also available for those wanting a caffeine hit before the flight. Overall, the drinks selection was excellent and added a premium feel to the experience.

Wi-Fi and Amenities

The Wi-Fi worked smoothly at the Sala VIP Canudas Barcelona T2, with speeds fast enough for browsing and streaming without any issues. The restrooms were clean and tidy, though the showers were closed during my visit. Power outlets were easy to find around the lounge, which made it handy for keeping devices charged before the flight. The magazine stand, conference room and quiet room were all nice extra touches, adding a bit more comfort and convenience.
