Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Heathrow Date of Visit: September 2025 (Last updated May 2026)
Time: Morning (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Heathrow is one of the most famous airport lounges at London Heathrow Terminal 3, known for its stylish seating, table service, cocktails, runway views, showers and premium pre-flight atmosphere. This Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Heathrow Terminal 3 review covers the access rules, location, check-in experience, food, drinks, Wi-Fi, amenities and whether the lounge is still worth visiting in 2026.
While the lounge is still among the most premium options at Heathrow, it is worth noting that it is not quite what it once was before COVID, with the airline scaling back on some unique features such as the jacuzzi, hair salon, and massages. Nevertheless, it remains in a league above the BA business class lounges in Terminal 5.

Check-In Experience
Check-in was seamless. Staff at reception were welcoming, professional, and made entry into the lounge quick and efficient upon presenting my boarding pass.

Ambiance and Seating at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Heathrow
The first impression is how huge and beautifully designed this lounge is. The decor feels clean, modern, and stylish, with different seating zones each offering a distinct vibe. This made the BA business class lounges at Heathrow look a bit sad if I’m being honest!
Highlights included:
- The 46-foot-long central bar, where guests can order cocktails and champagne
- Comfortable armchairs, large egg chairs, and stylish swing chairs that added a contemporary flair
- A spacious TV and media area with mood lighting
- Pool cabana-style seating that gave the space a resort-like feel
- An outdoor terrace with excellent runway views
- A games room with a pool table and even a wellness room with Peloton bikes overlooking the tarmac
Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows brought in plenty of natural light and offered excellent views of the aircraft. The abundance of greenery and plants also made the lounge feel fresh and inviting. Comfort was never an issue with the sheer variety of seating options available.

Food and Drinks at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Heathrow
Virgin Atlantic does things differently, and in this case, in the best way possible.
- Table Service via QR Code: Every table had a QR code for ordering food and drinks, making the experience seamless. Staff brought everything directly to us
- Breakfast Menu Options: Guests could order almost anything, from a Full English breakfast to eggs benedict, eggs royale, and lighter options such as yogurt and fruit
- Buffet Selection: Mainly cold items such as fresh fruit, cold cuts, and salads for those who preferred a quick grab-and-go option
- Bar Menu: This was extensive, with the option to order champagne, cocktails, wine, or soft drinks. Morning champagne and freshly made cocktails were freely available
The food was freshly prepared, well-presented, and genuinely restaurant quality.

Wi-Fi and Amenities
The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout the lounge. There were plenty of shower facilities, which were modern and spotless, ensuring travelers could freshen up before a long-haul flight.
While it was a shame that unique pre-COVID amenities like the jacuzzi and hair salon are gone, the range of seating, wellness areas, games, and overall atmosphere still places the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse among the world’s most impressive business class lounges.
Pros and Cons
Pros
