During our early afternoon visit, the lounge was fairly busy but offered an impressive variety of seating and some particularly useful facilities. Complimentary showers, private workstations and free massage chairs are major strengths, particularly for passengers connecting between long-haul flights. However, the interior is quite dark, there are no runway views, the food quality is fairly average and the alcoholic drinks selection is limited.

Check-In Experience
There were around three passengers ahead of us when we arrived at the lounge, but the queue moved quickly. The staff at reception were friendly, smiley and efficient. After scanning my Priority Pass card and boarding pass, we were checked in within a couple of minutes and could enter the lounge.
Seating and Atmosphere at the SATS Premier Lounge Singapore Terminal 2
Our first impression was that the lounge was surprisingly large, although it was also fairly busy during this visit.
The variety of seating is one of the strongest features of the SATS Premier Lounge Singapore Terminal 2. A large section of the lounge is filled with cream-coloured armchairs, which were particularly popular during our visit. Most seats have convenient access to charging ports, making it easy to charge a phone, laptop or other devices while waiting for a flight.
Restaurant-style tables provide somewhere more practical to eat, while high stools offer another seating option. There are also private workstation-style desks for passengers wanting to use a laptop or get some work done. A separate VIP area was cordoned off during our visit, although nobody appeared to be using it.
The interior itself is less memorable. White walls dominate the lounge and there is very little artwork, decoration or noticeable design theme. Several plants help freshen up the space, but overall the décor feels quite bland compared with some of Changi Airport’s more distinctive lounges.
The lounge also felt reasonably dark. Although there are large windows, these overlook the terminal departures area rather than the apron. As a result, there are no aircraft, runway or airport views, and relatively little natural light reaches the main seating areas.

Food at the SATS Premier Lounge Singapore Terminal 2
Food is served from a self-service buffet, with a reasonable selection of both Asian and Western dishes.
There was plenty of hot food available during our lunchtime visit. Options included curries, stir-fries, rosemary potatoes, steamed vegetables, tomato pasta and several soups. The standout was a noodle soup dish, which was delicious and easily one of the stronger items we tried.
The cold buffet provided additional choice. There were bread rolls, a salad bar, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit and nuts. For dessert, both cheesecake and chocolate cake were available for passengers wanting something sweeter after their meal.
Overall, the quantity and variety are stronger than the quality. You certainly will not struggle to find something to eat, and there is enough food available to fill you up before a flight, but the buffet was pretty unmemorable.
Drinks
The drinks offering was relatively basic compared with some premium airport lounges.
Everything is self-service and there is no staffed or dedicated bar area.
A large refrigerator contained plenty of soft drinks, including orange juice, apple juice, tonic water, Coca-Cola, Coke Zero and Sprite. There were two self-service coffee machines, which produced a standard black Americano, alongside a decent range of teas.
Alcohol was also available on a self-service basis. Sparkling wine was provided in the form of Pol Remy, while the still wine selection was limited to two Terra Pura wines from Chile: a Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. The spirits selection was particularly limited.
The main choices included Smirnoff vodka, Gordon’s gin and Johnnie Walker whisky, covering the basics without offering much variety. Beer was similarly restricted, with Tiger Beer the only lager option we noticed during this visit.
For soft drinks, tea and coffee, the selection is perfectly adequate. However, the limited wines, spirits and beer selection prevents the drinks offering from being one of the lounge’s stronger areas.
Showers, Wi-Fi and Facilities
The facilities are where the SATS Premier Lounge deserves credit.
Complimentary showers are available with fresh towels provided, and there were plenty of shower suites during our visit. The facilities were spotless and were particularly appreciated before our onward flight to London. We also appreciated the premium White Tea soap provided inside the showers.
Elsewhere, the private workstations are useful for business travellers, while charging ports are widely available alongside the lounge seating. There were also complimentary magazines available, whilst the Wi-Fi was also fast and reliable throughout our visit.
One of the more unusual facilities at the SATS Premier Lounge is its dedicated massage chair room. Passengers can use the massage chairs for 10 minutes free of charge per person. This is a great addition if you are transiting through Singapore after a long-haul flight and want somewhere to relax before continuing your journey.

Staff and Service
Staff made a positive impression from the moment we arrived.
Despite having several passengers waiting at reception, check-in was handled quickly and efficiently. The reception staff were friendly and smiley, and scanning our Priority Pass card and boarding pass took very little time. Service throughout the lounge was efficient, with staff clearing plates promptly and always keeping the bathrooms clean.

The SATS Premier Lounge Singapore Terminal 2 is worth visiting if you have Priority Pass or want somewhere comfortable to spend a few hours during a connection at Changi Airport. Its biggest strengths are its practical facilities, including spotless showers, massage chairs, private workstations, fast Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points.
Food is plentiful but fairly average, while the drinks selection is limited and the dark interior, busy atmosphere and lack of aircraft views reduce the sense of luxury. However, for eating, showering, working and relaxing before another long-haul flight, it performs well.
