This is a quiet and relaxing lounge with clean facilities, a well stocked bar, complimentary Prosecco, reliable Wi-Fi, and a calm hotel lobby feel. However, it is also dark, has no windows, no views, limited seating, no real work areas, and a weak hot breakfast selection.
During this early morning visit, the lounge was quiet, spotless, and peaceful. It was a nice place to relax before a flight, but it is not one of Heathrow Terminal 2’s stronger lounges if you are mainly visiting for food, space, natural light, or additional amenities.

First Impressions
The first thing you notice about No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 is that there are no views at all. Like the Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2, this lounge has no natural light and no windows.
Because you take a lift down to reach it, the lounge does feel like it is in a basement. The space is quite dark, and there is no sense of being connected to the airport outside.
However, the lounge still manages to feel relaxing. There were plants dotted around the space, including a bamboo plant, which helped give the lounge a fresher and more natural feel.
There was chilled lobby music playing in the background, and because the lounge was quiet during this visit, the atmosphere felt peaceful and calm.

Seating and Comfort
Seating at No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 is mainly made up of armchairs. There are also a couple of more enclosed seating areas that would work well for small groups.
The lounge does not have much seating overall, so it could fill up quickly during peak times. During this early morning visit, this was not an issue, but I would expect the space to feel much tighter when busy.
There is nowhere particularly strong for working. There was a charging station, and plugs were dotted along some of the walls, but charging ports were not available at every seat.
If you want to relax before your flight, the armchairs and quiet atmosphere work well. If you need to work on a laptop, the lounge is more limited.
Food at No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2
The food at No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 was mixed during this early morning visit. The hot breakfast selection was very basic, but the continental options were stronger.
Hot food included scrambled eggs, potatoes, hot porridge, and warm ham and cheese croissants. There was no full cooked breakfast, and unlike the Plaza Premium Lounges, there was no wider hot breakfast spread.
The scrambled eggs were not a highlight, and the hot selection felt quite limited overall.
The continental breakfast was much better. There were cereals, yoghurt with summer fruits and granola, apples, croissants, and pastries with a raspberry jam filling. The pastries were tasty and helped lift the breakfast offering.
Overall, breakfast was fine if you prefer a lighter continental selection, but the hot food was one of the weakest parts of the lounge.
Drinks and Bar
The drinks selection was stronger than the food offering and was also stronger than the Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 during this visit.
There were orange, apple, and cranberry juices, along with three self-serve coffee machines. There was also a large selection of Twinings teas, plus a soft drink machine.
The bar area was tended, and Heineken was available on tap. The bar had a wider selection of spirits than the Plaza Premium Lounge, and complimentary Prosecco was also available.
Staff were happy to make cocktails using the complimentary spirits, including an Aperol Spritz. This was one of the strongest parts of the lounge experience.
Champagne cost extra, priced at £12 per glass or £40 per bottle.
We also liked that there were a couple of bar stools at the bar, which gave the space a more relaxed pre-flight drinks feel.
Wi-Fi, Charging and Facilities
The Wi-Fi worked well during this visit, which made the lounge useful for browsing, messaging, or light work before a flight.
Charging was more mixed. There was a charging station, and there were plugs along some of the walls, but charging ports were not available at every seat. If you need to charge a device, it is worth choosing your seat carefully.
The toilets were clean and located just past the entrance to the lounge. They were unisex, with separate enclosed cubicles. The premium soap and plant inside helped make the toilets feel more like something you would find in a luxury hotel.
There were no standout extra amenities in the lounge. There were no showers, no dedicated quiet rooms, and nowhere particularly strong for working.
