Lounge Rankings at Heathrow Terminal 2
2. No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 (6 out of 10)
The No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 ranks second. It is a small, quiet, and relaxing lounge with clean toilets, reliable Wi-Fi, complimentary Prosecco, Heineken on tap, and a stronger bar than the Plaza Premium Lounge during our visit.
However, it is also dark, has no windows, no views, limited seating, no proper work areas, and a weak hot breakfast selection. It worked nicely during a quiet early morning visit, but it could feel cramped quickly during busier periods.

Best for:
- A calm drink before your flight
- Complimentary Prosecco and a tended bar
- A quiet seat during off-peak periods
- Clean toilets and reliable Wi-Fi
Food and drinks:
The drinks are the main reason to choose the No1 Lounge over the Plaza Premium Lounge. There was Heineken on tap, complimentary Prosecco, a wider spirits selection, soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea, and staff were happy to make cocktails using the complimentary spirits, including an Aperol Spritz.
Champagne was available at an extra cost, priced at £12 per glass or £40 per bottle.
The food was less impressive. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, potatoes, hot porridge, and warm ham and cheese croissants. There was no full cooked breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were not a highlight.
The continental breakfast was stronger, with cereals, yoghurt with summer fruits and granola, apples, croissants, and pastries with raspberry jam filling. If you prefer a light breakfast and a drink, this lounge works better than if you are looking for a substantial meal.

What to know before you go:
- Located airside after security next to gate A18
- You need to take the lift down to level 2
- Open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Access is usually limited to 3 hours before departure
- No windows, natural light, or runway views
- No showers
- Charging ports are not available at every seat
Final verdict:
The No1 Lounge is best if you want a quiet drink, clean facilities, and a calm pre-flight setting. The bar offering is stronger than the Plaza Premium Lounge, especially with complimentary Prosecco and cocktails using included spirits.
However, the lounge is small, dark, and not ideal for working. The hot breakfast is also weak. If you are visiting mainly for drinks, No1 is a decent choice. If you want space, seating, charging, and a more useful all-round lounge, Plaza Premium is the better option.

1. Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 (7 out of 10)
Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 ranks first because it delivers the strongest overall experience. It is larger than the No1 Lounge, has more seating, useful work areas, reliable Wi-Fi, clean toilets, departure boards, and a calmer hotel lobby feel.
The food and drinks are not especially strong, and the lack of windows is a clear downside. However, for most travellers, this is the better lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2 because it is more spacious, more practical, and more comfortable for spending time before a flight.

Best for:
- The best all-round lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2
- Working before your flight and charging your devices
- Plenty of seating and a calmer hotel lobby feel
Food and drinks:
Breakfast at the Plaza Premium Lounge was acceptable, but not the main reason to visit. Cold options included fruit salad, apples, oranges, yoghurts, cereals, muffins, croissants, pain au chocolat, and toast.
The pastries were one of the better parts of the breakfast, with flaky croissants and fresh pain au chocolat.
The hot breakfast was more limited. There were sausages, baked beans, hash browns, mushrooms, and scrambled eggs, but no bacon and no cooked tomatoes. The scrambled eggs were dry and lacked flavour, so the hot food was not one of the stronger parts of the lounge.
Drinks were available from a self-serve area and a tended bar. There were infused waters, a soft drinks fountain, two coffee machines, house wine, house spirits, and Angelo Poretti on tap.
The bar looked sleek, but the actual drinks selection was quite basic. There was no Champagne or Prosecco included during this visit, which is one area where No1 Lounge performed better.

What to know before you go:
- Located airside on level 4, close to the terminal transfer area
- Open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- Charging ports available at most seats with useful workstation areas
- Reliable Wi-Fi during our visit
- No natural light, windows, or outside views
Final verdict:
The Plaza Premium Lounge is a solid lounge at Heathrow terminal 2.
It is not perfect. The lounge is dark, there are no windows, the hot breakfast is fairly limited, and the bar is more basic than the stylish design suggests. However, it is still the strongest all-round choice because it has more space, better seating, more charging points, workstation areas, clean facilities, and a calmer layout than No1 Lounge.
If you want drinks, No1 Lounge has the stronger bar. If you want the best overall Heathrow Terminal 2 lounge for comfort, seating, charging, Wi-Fi, and pre-flight practicality, Plaza Premium Lounge is the winner.
