Sala Joan Olivert Lounge, Valencia Airport (Evening Visit)

Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport Date of Visit: February 2025 (Last updated June 2026)

Time: Evening (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport is the only lounge at Valencia Airport, serving both Schengen and non Schengen flights. We visited in February 2025 for an evening departure and found a surprisingly strong hot buffet and tapas spread, plus a well stocked self serve drinks area with Spanish wines and cocktails. Seating is spread across two floors with a useful workspace upstairs, though runway views are limited and charging points are easier to find on the top level. This review covers location and access, food and drinks, Wi-Fi, power sockets, and whether it is worth using a lounge visit.

Check in experience Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport

The check-in process was quick and efficient. The receptionist was friendly and welcomed guests with a smile. There was no queue, and access was granted in under a minute upon presenting my Priority Pass card.

Seating and Atmosphere

Spanning two floors, the Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport lounge features a well-designed mix of seating options, including cushioned armchairs, small café-style tables, and plenty of recliners for those wanting a nap. Because it has no direct runway views, the lounge lacks natural light. The modern decor and numerous plants throughout add a nice touch.

A dedicated business area on the top floor featured large conference tables and power outlets, ideal for those wanting to get some last-minute work done. Next to reception, a newspaper stand added a nice aesthetic touch, even if few people use it these days. Since the lounge wasn’t overly crowded, it provided a relaxing experience before the flight.

Food and drinks at the Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport

The evening food selection was delightful, offering a variety of tasty dishes to suit all tastes:

  • Hot items: The selection included a delicious pork in tomato sauce dish, tender and flavourful, as well as a savoury chicken in mustard sauce, which was also delicious. There was also a rich, comforting lasagna that was genuinely as good as I’ve had in Italy! In addition, a couple of hot tapas dishes, including the classic Spanish omelette (tortilla) were also available.
  • Cold items: The lounge also featured a well-curated selection of cold offerings, including freshly made sandwiches and an impressive tapas spread. This included Spanish salamis, Iberian ham and cheeses.
  • Drinks: The self-serve bar featured several excellent Spanish red and white wine options, perfect for pairing with the cured meats! Cavas were also out, as well as the usual vodka, gin and rum. Pre-mixed mojito cocktails were also on offer, which was an impressive touch. There was also a selection of refreshing glass-bottled water and a variety of glass bottled soft drinks to choose from. The coffee machine served up a solid cappuccino, making it an ideal way to end the evening.

Wi-Fi and Amenities

The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, making it easy to browse or catch up on emails. Power outlets were actually sparse on the ground floor, meaning you would have to go to the top floor to charge your phone which was a minor inconvenience. However, upstairs there was an excellent work space area with a conference-style table. The bathrooms were sleek, clean and well-maintained, giving a luxury feel.

Lounge Pair  No membership needed. Pre-book the Sala Joan Olivert Lounge for £42 (€49) per person.

Cons

  • Power outlets were sparse around the lounge, particularly on the ground floor. It was a minor inconvenience to have to go to the work area on the top floor to charge devices.

Final Verdict – Is The Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport Worth It?

The Sala Joan Olivert Lounge Valencia Airport provides a pleasant space to unwind before a flight. It’s quiet, comfortable, and offers a decent food and drink selection, making it a firm choice for an evening visit. Although the lounge offers limited charging ports and runway views, you can still enjoy a good spot to relax before departure, especially if you appreciate a well-stocked bar.
