Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport Date of Visit: November 2025 (Last updated June 2026)
Time: Late afternoon (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport is a Priority Pass and paid access airport lounge at Glasgow Airport, offering runway views, hot food, draught beer, Wi-Fi, charging points and a strict four drink alcohol limit. This Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport review covers the location, access rules, opening hours, food, drinks, seating, facilities, £37 paid entry option and whether it is worth visiting before a flight.

During this late afternoon visit, the lounge was calm, bright and easy to use, with large windows overlooking the runway and surrounding hills. The chicken tikka masala was a real highlight, and the draught beer was a nice touch, although the lounge still feels more functional than premium.

Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport Location and Access Rules

The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport is located airside. Once you have cleared Security, turn left then continue through the World Duty Free Shop and follow the pathway to the lift or stairs. The lounge is on the second floor.

Opening hours are 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM daily, with a maximum stay of three hours before your flight. Access is for those who have pre-booked or have a lounge membership card such as Priority Pass. You can enter the Upper Deck lounge by purchasing a Priority Pass lounge membership here (up to 20% off through this link), or by purchasing a pass beforehand at LoungePair.com for £37 per person.

The lounge is not particularly large and often reaches capacity. During busy periods, cardholders are sometimes turned away, so I recommend pre-booking for £6 per person to guarantee your spot.

Check-In Experience

On arrival, I was welcomed quickly and given a slip of paper explaining the strictly enforced four-drink limit for alcoholic beverages. The process was efficient, and actually the lounge was almost empty during this Saturday afternoon visit.

Seating, Views and Atmosphere

The lounge has large floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of the runway and the surrounding hills, which were the highlight of the space. Watching planes take-off at dusk with a drink in hand was an excellent pre-flight treat.

The seating is mostly café-style, with a functional and basic décor. However, there were a few seats and tables by the windows facing the runway, which are definitely the seats that you want.

Food and Drinks

The food selection at the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport was basic but tasty and certainly enough to fill up before my flight:

  • A chicken tikka masala with rice. This was genuinely restaurant grade and probably the most delicious lounge curry I have ever had!
  • A couple of cold sandwich options.
  • A delicious creamy pasta dish served with salad.
  • Cheese and crackers.
  • Fresh fruit and yoghurts.

Drinks were more than sufficient:

  • A choice of three red wines, three white wines, and one rosé.
  • A standard selection of spirits.
  • There was Tennent’s, a ‘Caledonia’ lager and Magner’s on draught. This was a nice touch to have beers and cider on tap. The Caledonia was a particularly delicious pint.
  • Prosecco or Champagne was available but at an extra cost.
  • Unlimited soft drinks, with the four-drink rule not applying.
  • A self-serve coffee machine producing a reasonable coffee.

Four Drink Limit At Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport

One of the most important things to know before visiting the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport is the strict four drink alcohol limit. During this visit, guests were given a paper slip, and the bartender marked it each time an alcoholic drink was ordered.

The limit only applies to alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks, tea and coffee are not included in the four drink rule.

Wi-Fi, Power Sockets and Facilities at the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow

The Wi-Fi worked perfectly well, making it a good place to do some work. Toilets were also reasonably maintained.

There were no extra amenities beyond the basics: no showers, no games room etc. This is very much a functional lounge rather than a premium one.

LoungePair – No membership needed. Pre-book the Upper Deck Lounge for £37 per person.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Good runway views through large windows
  • Plenty of charging ports, making it easy to work here
  • Enough food to fill up before a flight and an incredible tikka masala!
  • Respectable range of wines and spirits, with the draught beer options being a standout here.

Cons

  • Very functional, with no additional amenities available
  • Strict four-drink limit with paper slips
  • The food whilst tasty, had limited choices

Upper Deck Lounge vs Lomond Lounge Glasgow Airport

If you are choosing between the Upper Deck Lounge and the Lomond Lounge at Glasgow Airport, the Upper Deck Lounge is the more practical budget option, especially if you have Priority Pass or want a simple pre-flight lounge with runway views, hot food and draught beer.

The Lomond Lounge is the better choice if you want a more premium Glasgow Airport lounge experience. The Upper Deck Lounge does the basics well, but it feels more functional, while the Lomond Lounge is better suited to travellers who want a quieter and more elevated experience before flying.

Is The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport Worth Visiting?

The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport does the job, and the views/natural light really do improve this lounge. It provides space to work, acceptable drinks, and enough food to get by. However, it feels more like a waiting area with catering than a true premium experience.

If you want a truly premium lounge at Glasgow, I recommend forking out for the Lomond Lounge instead.
