Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport Date of Visit: November 2025 (Last updated February 2026)
Time: Late afternoon (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport is a contract lounge at Glasgow Airport (GLA) that you can access with Priority Pass or by paying for entry, and it is best known for its runway views and surprisingly good hot food. I found a calm space with big windows, draught beer and a genuinely tasty chicken tikka masala, but also a strict four drink alcohol limit and limited choice compared to more premium lounges. In this review, I cover how to find it, what the seating is like, what food and drinks are actually on offer, WiFi and power, and whether it is worth using a lounge visit or paying to get in.
We also reviewed the Lomond Lounge at Glasgow airport. You can read this review here.
Accessing the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport
The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport is located airside. Once you have cleared Security, turn left then continue through the World Duty Free Shop and follow the pathway to the lift or stairs. The lounge is on the second floor.
Opening hours are 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM daily, with a maximum stay of three hours before your flight. You can enter the Upper Deck lounge by purchasing a Priority Pass lounge membership here (up to 20% off through this link), or by purchasing a pass beforehand at LoungePass.com for £34 per person. After clicking, search for the airport to check availability and book your lounge spot.
The lounge is not particularly large and often reaches capacity. During busy periods, cardholders are sometimes turned away, so I recommend pre-booking for £6 per person to guarantee your spot.

Check-In Experience
On arrival, I was welcomed quickly and given a slip of paper explaining the strictly enforced four-drink limit for alcoholic beverages. The process was efficient, and actually the lounge was almost empty during this Saturday afternoon visit.
Seating, Views and Atmosphere
The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport has large floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of the runway and the surrounding hills, which were the highlight of the space. Watching planes take-off at dusk with a drink in hand was an excellent pre-flight treat.
The seating is mostly café-style, with a functional and basic décor. However, there were a few seats and tables by the windows facing the runway, which are definitely the seats that you want.

Food and Drinks
The food selection at the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport was basic but tasty and certainly enough to fill up before my flight:
- A chicken tikka masala with rice. This was genuinely restaurant grade and probably the most delicious lounge curry I have ever had!
- A couple of cold sandwich options.
- A delicious creamy pasta dish served with salad.
- Cheese and crackers.
- Fresh fruit and yoghurts.
Drinks were more than sufficient:
- A strict four-alcoholic-drinks-per-person limit, enforced by the bartender who marked my slip of paper each time I ordered.
- A choice of three red wines, three white wines, and one rosé.
- A standard selection of spirits.
- There was Tennent’s, a ‘Caledonia’ lager and Magner’s on draught. This was a nice touch to have beers and cider on tap. The Caledonia was a particularly delicious pint.
- Prosecco or Champagne was available but at an extra cost.
- Unlimited soft drinks, with the four-drink rule not applying.
- A self-serve coffee machine producing a reasonable coffee.

Wi-Fi, Power Sockets and Facilities at the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow
The Wi-Fi worked perfectly well, making it a good place to do some work. Toilets were also reasonably maintained.
There were no extra amenities beyond the basics: no showers, no games room etc. This is very much a functional lounge rather than a premium one.
LoungePass – No membership needed. Pre-book the Upper Deck Lounge for £34 per person. After clicking, search for the airport to check availability and book your lounge spot.

Pros and cons
Pros:
- Good runway views through large windows
- Plenty of charging ports, making it easy to work here
- Enough food to fill up before a flight and an incredible tikka masala!
- Respectable range of wines and spirits, with the draught beer options being a standout here.
Cons:
- Very functional, with no additional amenities available
- Strict four-drink limit with paper slips
- The food whilst tasty, had limited choices
Final verdict, is the Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport worth it?
The Upper Deck Lounge Glasgow Airport does the job, and the views/natural light really do improve this lounge. It provides space to work, acceptable drinks, and enough food to get by. However, it feels more like a waiting area with catering than a true premium experience.
If you want a truly premium lounge at Glasgow, I recommend forking out for the Lomond Lounge instead.
