No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal Date of Visit: November 2025 (Last updated February 2026)
Time: Morning (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM)

No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal is one of the most popular pay per use lounges at LGW, known for its full service bar, hot buffet and huge runway facing windows. In this morning visit review, I cover how strict entry can be when it hits capacity, what the food and drinks are like, seating and comfort, Wi-Fi and power sockets, and whether it is worth paying for or using a lounge visit.

Location and Access at No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal

The No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal is open daily from 4AM to 8PM daily. This lounge can get VERY BUSY. When I arrived, there was a long queue of maybe 20+ people. The receptionist was loudly explaining that walk-ins were not being accepted at this time, and only those with a booking would be able to enter.

You can enter the No.1 Traveller Lounge by purchasing a Priority Pass lounge membership here (up to 20% off through this link), or by purchasing a pass beforehand at LoungePass.com for £42 per person. After clicking, search for the airport to check availability and book your lounge spot.

The lounge is located airside. After passing through security checks, follow the signs for “Airport Lounges.” You will walk through a set of glass double doors and find the entrance straight ahead (floor 3). Access is permitted for up to three hours before your flight departs which they are strict on.

Check-In Experience

Check-in was very stressful here. Some people were getting let in, some people were getting turned away and others were hanging around the entrance looking rather confused. To be honest, I don’t blame the staff. They were doing the best they could considering the sheer volume of people. We have also reviewed the My Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge at Gatwick’s North terminal. You can read these reviews here.

Seating, Bar and Runway Views

This is a large lounge with a huge amount of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac. Seating options are varied, including café-style tables, sofas, large armchairs, and a dedicated workstation area.

One of the standout features was the circular bar. It was fully tended, with a proper counter and even a row of bar stools for those who wanted to sit up and enjoy a drink. This gave the lounge a more premium, social feel compared to many self-serve bar setups in other lounges.

The downside was that the lounge was extremely busy during this visit. Finding a quieter spot to relax was difficult, and there was a constant stream of people at the bar and buffet.

Staff were doing their best to clear plates, but most tables were left dirty as there simply were not enough people cleaning to cope with the numbers.

Food and Drinks

Food was self-serve and plentiful at the No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal. During this morning visit, the spread included the usual hot breakfast staples: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hashed browns, mushrooms and baked beans. There were also pastries, muffins, cereals, yoghurts, and fresh fruit. It was a good variety, and you could definitely leave feeling full.

From past evening visits, I’ve also seen hot options like tomato penne pasta and a vegetarian curry, alongside a salad bar with cheese and crackers. While not the most exciting, it was reassuring that hot food was available at all times of day.

The bar was a highlight. There was a wide choice of spirits, a couple of red and white wines, rosé, and prosecco. Champagne was available at an extra charge. Although cocktails were not listed on the menu, I asked for an Aperol Spritz and the bartender happily made one for me.

Wi-Fi, Power and Amenities

The Wi-Fi connection at the No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal was fast and reliable, with numerous charging points conveniently available throughout the lounge. Flight departure information was clearly displayed on multiple boards within the area, and a dedicated conference room was also available, although it was closed during my visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Large, bright lounge with plenty of seating variety.
  • Good hot food options at all times of day.
  • Well-stocked bar with flexibility (staff will make simple cocktails).

Cons:

  • Very busy, with long waits at the bar and often dirty tables.
  • Can be turned away if full unless pre-booked.

Final Verdict: Is the No1 Traveller Lounge Gatwick North Terminal Worth Visiting?

The No1 Traveller Lounge at Gatwick North Terminal is not a bad choice for a contract lounge. The spacious layout, varied seating, hot food options, and full-service bar make it an excellent place to spend time before a flight. The only real drawback is just how busy it gets, which means the atmosphere can feel a little hectic and service at the bar can be slow. Overall, this is still a decent choice and worth the £6 pre-book fee to guarantee entry.
