SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Terminal 3 Location
The SKY Lounge is located airside in Vienna Airport Terminal 3. After passing through security, turn left and head up to the second level, following the signs towards the airport lounges.
Importantly, the lounge is positioned before passport control. This means it can be used by passengers travelling on both Schengen and non-Schengen flights, as well as passengers connecting through Vienna Airport.
This makes the lounge particularly convenient for passengers using Terminal 3, as you do not need to worry about being on the wrong side of passport control before visiting.
SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Opening Hours
The SKY Lounge Vienna Airport is open daily from 4:30 AM – 11:00 PM. Passengers can stay in the lounge for a maximum of three hours and children under four years old are admitted free of charge.
SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Access Options
The SKY Lounge is the only pay-to-use airport lounge in Vienna Airport Terminal 3.
Access is available to Priority Pass members, while passengers without membership can also purchase one-off access for approximately £32 (€37) per person at LoungePair.com.
Because the lounge is located before passport control, access is available to passengers travelling on both Schengen and non-Schengen flights.

SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Check-In
Check-in was quick and straightforward during our visit as there was no queue at reception when we arrived. After scanning our Priority Pass card and boarding passes, we were inside the lounge in under a couple of minutes.
Seating and Ambiance
At just over 7,000 square feet, the SKY Lounge Vienna Airport is reasonably large for a contract lounge. The main part of the lounge contains a substantial number of leather armchairs, with dividers positioned throughout the room to break up the space. This prevents the lounge from feeling like one enormous open room and creates several smaller seating areas. Plants have also been used throughout the lounge, which was a nice touch, while artwork along the walls adds some colour to the otherwise fairly neutral white interior.
There is also a separate café-style seating area, which is more practical when eating from the buffet. During our visit, the lounge was fairly empty. This made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing, and there was no difficulty finding somewhere to sit.
However, one of the lounge’s biggest weaknesses is the complete lack of windows. There are no runway or apron views, and the absence of windows means there is very little natural light. As a result, the lounge can feel somewhat dark and enclosed despite its relatively generous size.
Wi-Fi and Charging Ports
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the SKY Lounge. Connecting was easy, and we found the Wi-Fi to be fast and reliable during our visit.
There were also plenty of charging ports located next to the leather armchair seating. This makes the lounge particularly useful if you need to recharge your phone, laptop or other devices before a flight.

Working Facilities
There is a small workstation area containing a couple of desks. It definitely cannot be considered a large business centre, but it provides a more practical workspace if you need to send a few emails whilst in the lounge.
Magazines are also available throughout the lounge.
Several flight departure screens are positioned inside the lounge as well, which is a useful feature and makes it easy to keep an eye on your departure time without constantly checking your phone.
Food at the SKY Lounge Vienna Airport
For a contract airport lounge, the food selection was quite varied, with everything being presented in a self-service buffet.
The hot food selection during our visit included:
- Chicken curry with rice
- Beef stew
- Meatloaf
We tried the chicken curry and thought it was particularly tasty.
Alongside the hot dishes was a salad bar, providing a lighter option for passengers who did not want a full meal.
There were also:
- Fresh sandwiches
- Fresh pastries
- Nuts
- Crisps
- Apples
- Oranges
- Bananas
There was enough variety to have a proper meal rather than simply relying on snacks.
However, one of the standout parts of the buffet was the dessert selection. There were fresh brownies and several cakes, which looked noticeably more appealing than the basic packaged desserts found in many contract lounges. Our favourite was the apple strudel, which provided a nice Austrian touch and was one of the highlights of the food selection.
Staff also did a strong job of regularly replenishing the buffet throughout our visit.
Drinks at the SKY Lounge Vienna Airport
The drinks selection was also relatively varied.
Soft drinks were available from a self-service fountain.
Beer drinkers could try the local Austrian Zwettler lager, which we particularly enjoyed. There was also a selection of red and white wines available.
Unfortunately, there was no Champagne, and we did not see any Prosecco or other sparkling wine available during our visit either.
The spirits selection included:
- Smirnoff Vodka
- Bacardi White Rum
- Gin
- Hennessy
- Jameson
- Campari
Ice and fresh lemon were available alongside the spirits which is always good to see.
However, everything was laid out on a self-service table rather than being served from a dedicated bar.
In our view, a stylish staffed or self-service bar area would have helped make the lounge feel considerably more premium.
SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Showers and Additional Facilities
Complimentary shower facilities are available inside the lounge.
This is a useful addition, particularly for passengers travelling on longer journeys or connecting through Vienna. However, there is only one shower cubicle! Therefore, we would expect there could be a wait to use the shower during busier periods, particularly in the morning or around major long-haul departure banks.
It is also worth noting that lounge does offer a smoking room facility, although we did not use this during our visit.
Is the SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Terminal 3 Worth Visiting?
The SKY Lounge Vienna Airport Terminal 3 is worth visiting if you have complimentary access or want a quiet place to spend a few hours before your flight. Its biggest strengths are its large seating area, relatively varied buffet, fast Wi-Fi, plentiful charging ports and complimentary shower.
The food selection is stronger than what we have experienced in some contract lounges, with several hot dishes, sandwiches, salads, pastries, fruit and snacks. The brownies, cakes and particularly the apple strudel also help the buffet stand out. The drinks selection is perfectly respectable, with local Austrian lager, wine and a reasonable selection of spirits.
However, the lounge does have several weaknesses. The complete lack of windows means there are no airport views or natural light, which makes the space feel darker and less premium than it otherwise could. There is also no Champagne or sparkling wine, while the basic self-service drinks table lacks the atmosphere of a dedicated lounge bar.
Overall, the SKY Lounge is a comfortable and practical contract lounge with a reasonable food and drinks selection, but the lack of natural light and more premium features prevents it from scoring higher.
