The Lufthansa Business Lounge Munich Airport Terminal 2 is a Star Alliance and paid access airport lounge located airside in the Schengen departures area opposite Gate G28. During this visit, the lounge was extremely busy, but thanks to its enormous size it never felt overcrowded. Natural light pours into the lounge through a large central skylight, there is a wide variety of seating, solid food and drink options, showers and one of the better business facilities we have seen in a Schengen airport lounge. While the lack of apron views is disappointing and staff could have cleared tables more frequently, this remains one of the stronger business lounges at Munich Airport.

The Lufthansa Business Lounge is located airside after security in Terminal 2, Level 4, opposite Gate G28 in the Schengen departures area.
The lounge is open daily from 5:00 AM until 10:00 PM, making it suitable for early morning departures through to late evening flights.

Access is available for Lufthansa Business Class passengers travelling on eligible flights, Star Alliance Gold members and passengers purchasing lounge access directly through Lufthansa.

Check-In Experience
Despite the lounge being very busy, check-in was quick and efficient.
The first impression is the sheer scale of the lounge. This is one of the largest Schengen lounges we have visited, with multiple seating zones helping to spread passengers throughout the space.
Even during peak periods, it never felt cramped.
Seating and Atmosphere
The Lufthansa Business Lounge is divided into two large sections, each offering a different atmosphere.
One side features comfortable armchairs, sofas and quieter relaxation areas, while the other is arranged more like a restaurant, with dining tables suitable for eating or working on a laptop.
There is plenty of seating throughout the lounge, making it much easier to find somewhere to sit than many airport lounges, even when passenger numbers are high.
Natural light is another strength. Although the floor-to-ceiling windows either overlook the departures hall or have blinds covering them, a huge skylight runs through the centre of the lounge, filling the space with daylight and creating a much brighter atmosphere than many Schengen lounges.
Several plants help soften the interior, while the 100 Years of Lufthansa display adds a distinctive touch and reinforces the airline’s heritage.
The only real disappointment is the absence of aircraft or runway views.
Food at the Lufthansa Business Lounge Munich Airport
The food selection was impressive overall for a Schengen airport lounge.
Hot dishes during this visit included chicken in tomato sauce, tomato pasta, curry and a soup of the day.
While the hot buffet could have offered slightly more variety, everything was fresh and regularly replenished.
The cold buffet was arguably even stronger.
Fresh pretzels were a standout feature, with both traditional Bavarian pretzels and cheese pretzels available. There was also a selection of fresh breads, salads, fruit, desserts and panna cotta in both passion fruit and summer fruit flavours.
Bar snacks including crisps, nuts and biscuits were also available throughout the day.
Drinks
The drinks selection was another highlight.
Everything is self-service, with two Bavarian beers available on tap alongside a wide range of spirits, wines and soft drinks.
The branded Lufthansa beer glasses were a particularly enjoyable touch, making the Weissbier feel much more authentic.
Prosecco was available, although Champagne was not.
There was also a broad selection of juices, Coca-Cola products, tonic waters and a bean-to-cup coffee machine producing enjoyable coffee.
Overall, the drinks offering is one of the strongest features of the lounge.
Workstations, Wi-Fi and Facilities
This lounge works particularly well for business travellers.
A dedicated business centre includes multiple individual workstations, printers and plenty of charging points.
There is also a private conference room, which can be reserved in advance.
Two shower suites are available for passengers wanting to freshen up before their flight.
Charging ports are plentiful throughout the lounge, and the Wi-Fi performed reliably during our visit.
Staff and Service
Staff were friendly throughout the visit.
Food stations remained tidy and well stocked, although used glasses and empty plates were not always cleared particularly quickly during busy periods.

The Lufthansa Business Lounge Munich Airport at gate G28 is worth visiting if you are flying within the Schengen Area and have eligible access.
Its biggest strengths are its enormous size, bright atmosphere, varied seating, showers and dedicated business facilities. The drinks selection is particularly strong, while the fresh Bavarian pretzels add a local touch that helps the buffet stand out.
Although the lounge misses the opportunity to offer apron views and the hot buffet could be expanded slightly, it delivers a comfortable pre-flight experience that is well above average for a Schengen business lounge.
