Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen Date of Visit: October 2025 (Last updated May 2026)
Time: Afternoon (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM)

The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen Airport is a pay-per-use and Priority Pass lounge at Copenhagen Airport (CPH), located airside in Terminal 2 between Pier A and Pier B. This Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen review covers the location, access rules, £22 paid entry option, opening hours, seating, cold Nordic buffet, self-serve Carlsberg beer taps, Wi-Fi, power sockets and whether it is worth visiting before a flight.

During this afternoon visit, the lounge was busy and access was temporarily paused for lounge card holders due to capacity. The cold Scandinavian buffet was decent, Wi-Fi worked well, and the four self-serve Carlsberg taps were the standout feature. However, there was no hot food, natural light was limited, and power sockets were harder to find during the busy period.

Check-In Experience

Check-in was far from straightforward. The lounge was temporarily closed to lounge card holders as the capacity was reached (only business class ticket holders invited by their airline were allowed to enter). We therefore had to wait for over half an hour just to get in. Once we entered, we found a busy lounge, although we did manage to find a couple of seats in the corner.

Tip: if you are relying on Priority Pass at peak times, have a backup plan because access can be paused when the lounge is full.

Ambiance and Seating at the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen has a clean Scandinavian style, with lots of warm wooden finishes on both the floors and walls. Natural light was sadly scarce as the windows overlooked the terminal concourse. Seating included armchairs, café-style tables, and high-top counters near the windows. The layout worked well for both solo travellers and small groups. While the space was busy, the abundance of plants, the sleek décor and the cool Carlsberg branding made the space feel warm and welcoming.

Food and Drink At The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

The food offering leaned heavily towards cold dishes and Scandinavian flavours. There were no hot items available, which may disappoint those looking for a hot meal before their flight.

Cold items included: pickled herring, egg mayo salad, hummus, pumpkin spread, capers, brie gherkins, fresh brown bread, rye bread, rice crackers and chicken liver pate. This Nordic tapas was tasty, although I did miss a hot food option. Fresh fruit (apples and oranges) was also on offer which was nice for me to take a piece to eat on the go.

In terms of the drinks selection, there were self-serve wines, soft drinks and coffee, but no spirits.

Soft drinks were available through a touchscreen soda fountain, with options including Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Sprite, Fanta, Schweppes Lemon, and Schweppes Indian Tonic Water. No soft drinks cans were available. Coffee was made from a self-serve machine. My cappuccino was nothing special but perfectly drinkable.

Carlsberg Beer Taps At The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

The standout feature of the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen is the self-serve beer selection. During this visit, there were four Carlsberg taps available: Carlsberg, non-alcoholic Pale Ale, Carlsberg Nordic Ale and Carlsberg 1883. For a lounge at this price point, the self-serve beer setup is one of the main reasons to visit.

Wi-Fi and Amenities At The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

The Wi-Fi worked without issue at the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen and was fast enough for streaming. A handful of power outlets were scattered around the lounge, though many were in use due to the busier crowd. Bathrooms were small but clean, and the lounge overall was kept tidy by staff circulating frequently to clear tables.

Lounge Pass  No membership needed. Pre-book the Carlsberg Aviator lounge for £22 per person. After clicking, search for the airport to check availability and book your lounge spot.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Scandinavian-inspired design with warm wooden accents and standout Carlsberg branding.
  • Four Carlsberg beers on tap

Cons

  • No hot food available at all.
  • The lounge was very busy, to the point where we had to wait half an hour to enter the lounge.
  • Lack of natural light and a scarce number of power ports.

Is the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen Worth Visiting?

The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge at Copenhagen Airport delivers a reasonable lounge experience overall. The food is limited to cold options, but the quality was of a decent standard, and the standout beer taps and self-serve wines added real value.

For £22 on Lounge Pass or with a Priority Pass membership, this lounge is a very solid choice if you are flying through Copenhagen. If hot food is important, you may be disappointed, but for drinks, light bites, and a comfortable space before your flight, it’s a good value option.
